This seminar will focus on the actual implementation of the network as I am preparing a laboratory session for the deep learning course next week based on this topic. I will briefly review recombination landscapes and why we're interested in them, simulating training/test/validation data with the coalescent simulator msprime (a favorite topic of mine), preprocessing data, and finally build a model with tensorflow.keras and apply it to toy data. The session is more or less a dress rehearsal for next week so the more feedback I get, the better
