The How-to template generates a simple page structure for creating instructions. Perhaps lab routines? How to install a specific software? This can be as general or as detailed as you wish.
To create an How-to article page, click Create (create a new page, +-symbol to the left in view mode) - How-to article.
The first time a How-to article page is created, an additional page and a Space Shortcut are also generated:
Page
A collection page called “How-to articles”. The page collects and makes a list of all How-to articles. It also allows you to create to How-to articles from the collection page.
To add a How-to article page (after the collection page has been created), click the Add how-to article button in the top right corner of the page, in view mode.
Space Shortcut
A shortcut/link to the “How-to articles” collection page.
The title and the following sections are automatically generated on creation of the How-to article page. Feel free to structure the page in a way which suites your purposes.
Begin the page with an explanation on what this how-to article is for.
Instructions
Here you can create a step-by-step guide, for example.
Create a step-by-step guide:
Add steps that are simple and self-contained.
You can also add sub-steps to your steps.
