NBIS arranges an open AI and IO Seminar Series aimed at knowledge-sharing about Artificial Intelligence and Integrative Omics (AI & IO) analysis and applications in the Life Science community. The seminar series is open to everyone. The seminar is run over Zoom on the third Friday of the month during academic terms, typically between 10 and 11 am, with ca. 45 min long presentation and 15 min discussion.Â

Abstract: This speech provides a general overview of the ethical issues inherent in artificial intelligence. The discussion will begin with the definition of the term "ethics" and the brief historical development of technology ethics. Subsequently, it will delve into ethical issues related to the design, production, development, and deployment of artificial intelligence, as well as the ethical dilemmas arising from using artificial intelligence in various sectors. The problems associated with different types of artificial intelligence will be examined. Additionally, attention will be given to the ethical issues in the social, political, and regulatory domains related to artificial intelligence, along with possible solution approaches.
